Some reminders coming from OPP with warmer temperatures on the way.
With highs between 6 and 9 degrees on the weekend, police say ice conditions on area waterways may change quickly.
Lake Simcoe still has areas of open water and a thaw will affect ice thickness.
OPP say clear blue ice is safest while you should avoid areas of grey ice and you should always check with local fish hut operators before going out.
Police also warn of runoff filling ditches and streams which children should steer clear of.
