Stolen Property Recovered, 3 People Charged

Springwater Township | by Ian MacLennan
Putting a car in the ditch was the end game for a pair of suspects.

A neighbour was doing a good deed to help two males who allegedly had done some bad deeds.

Huronia West OPP say an officer spotted the person using a tractor to pull a vehicle out of a ditch on Vigo Road in Springwater Township on Sunday.

There were items stacked on the hood of the vehicle.

Police did a check and discovered the vehicle had earlier been reported stolen in Midland.

Property inside and outside the vehicle had allegedly been stolen from different locations in Tiny Township, and officers also located an imitation gun in the car.

A search warrant was also executed at a home on Mosley Street in Wasaga Beach where officers found more stolen property, and a woman who police say fled from officers the day before in a stolen vehicle from Kitchener.

Two men, a 21 year old from Scarborough and an 18 year old from Wasaga Beach, as well as a 19 year old woman from Weston face a slew of charges.
